Thrive Cambridge Counseling Therapy
Counseling and Coaching Services in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Seeing a counselor, therapist or life coach isn't a sign of weakness, it's a display of your commitment to long-term happiness and fulfillment. Many already successful people continue to see a counselor or coach as a way to experience continued clarity and personal and professional growth. Others look for help from a therapist only after experiencing a major hardship, or when a long-term issue becomes unbearable.
Consider the following scenarios:
- You don't know how, but somehow you and your spouse have gone from lovers to enemies
- Your child is having a difficult time making friends at school
- A close family member has passed away, and your grief is making day-to-day living incredibly painful
- A once favorite stress-reliever has become a every day, several times per day addiction
When life becomes difficult and you don't see a way for things to change, you might then decide to stop shouldering the burden on your own and ask for help. The problem, however, is when you begin your search, only to find voicemails waiting at the end of every phone call. If you're looking for help - even if it's simply for career guidance or a routine "check up" with a mental health professional - the last thing you need is to wait several weeks, if not months, before you find a clinician with available appointments who accepts your insurance. When you call Thrive Counseling's Cambridge office, know that an inviting voice will be waiting to pick up the phone, no matter what day or time, who will find you an appointment within the same week of your call, if not within 24 hours.
Call us today at 617-395-5806, and meet one of our counselors or coaches who will teach you how to:
- Pursue personal and professional growth
- Set and achieve goals
- Work through challenging relationships and other life issues
Why Do People Pursue Therapy and Coaching?
"Before we learn how to walk or run as children, we first need to learn how to balance ourselves."
The need for balance begins at birth and persists throughout our lives. If we want to really go far in life and achieve personal growth, career achievements, meaning and fulfillment, it rarely will ever happen without attention to our overall balance (and continued maintenance). In order to be physically well, you need to sleep well, eat right and exercise regularly. There's no way around it. Sure, some people might appear physically fit despite poor habits, but they are likely doing great damage to their insides. In order to achieve balance, however, you can't simply focus on your physique. The other aspects of what makes up you are equally important. A counselor or coach will help you develop certain mental practices (e.g. mindfulness, meditation, journaling) that will help keep you prepared to handle present and future challenges.
The professionals at Thrive Counseling are equipped to work with a wide variety of issues, which include:
- Anxiety disorders
- Couples and marriage counseling
- Eating disorders
- Obsessive-compulsive tendencies
- Grief counseling
- Child therapy
- Suspected abuse in a child
- Psychiatric testing
- Anger management
- Addiction issues
- Professional development
- Life transitions such as divorce or loss of a job
We know that what you're going through might not be on the above list, and that's OK - by no means was it meant to be exhaustive. Thrive Counseling's therapists and coaches have experienced great success watching thousands of individuals overcome their unique challenges. Whatever you're going through, you can experience relief, too. You can grow. You can thrive.
