Thrive Cambridge Counseling Therapy

Counseling and Coaching Services in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Seeing a counselor, therapist, or life coach is not a sign of weakness. It is a commitment to long-term happiness and fulfillment. Many successful people see a counselor or coach as a way to experience continued personal and professional growth. Others look for help from a therapist only after experiencing a major hardship or when a long-term issue becomes unbearable. The counselors, therapists, and life coaches at Thrive Boston have helped many people establish a more fulfilling, happy life or address a particular hardship that has arisen.

Consider the following scenarios:

  1. You don't know how, but somehow you and your spouse have gone from lovers to enemies.
  2. Your child is having a difficult time making friends at school.
  3. A close family member has passed away, and your grief is making day-to-day living incredibly painful.
  4. A once favorite stress-reliever has become an every day or several times per day addiction.

When life becomes difficult and it seems like there is no way for things to change, it might be time to stop shouldering the burden alone. Asking for help is often the right next step.

The problem, however, is when people begin their search only to find voicemails waiting at the end of every phone call. If you are looking for help, the last thing you need is to wait several weeks, if not months, before you find a clinician with available appointments who accepts your insurance.

When you call Thrive Counseling's Cambridge office, know that an inviting voice will be waiting to pick up the phone, no matter what day or time. Our scheduling specialists will find you an appointment within the same week of your call, if not within 24 hours.

Call us today at 617-395-5806, and meet one of our counselors or coaches who may teach you how to:

  1. Pursue personal and professional growth.
  2. Set and achieve goals.
  3. Work through challenging relationships and other life issues.

Why Do People Pursue Therapy and Coaching?

"Before we learn how to walk or run as children, we first need to learn how to balance ourselves."

The need for balance begins at birth and persists throughout people’s lives. When people give attention to their overall balance and maintain it, they often go far in life and achieve personal growth, career success, meaning, and fulfillment.

In order to be physically well, people need to form healthy sleep habits, eat right, and exercise regularly. There is no way around it. Some people might appear physically fit despite poor habits, but they are likely doing great damage to their internal health. In order to achieve balance, however, people must focus upon more than their physique. Healthy balance means pursuing holistic health—physically, socially, and emotionally. A counselor or coach may help people develop certain mental practices (e.g. mindfulness, meditation, journaling) that may bring their emotional health into balance.

The professionals at Thrive Counseling are equipped to work with a wide variety of issues, which include:
  1. Anxiety disorders
  2. Couples and marriage counseling
  3. Eating disorders
  4. Obsessive-compulsive tendencies
  5. Grief counseling
  6. Child therapy
  7. Suspected abuse of a child
  8. Psychiatric testing
  9. Anger management
  10. Addiction issues
  11. Professional development
  12. Life transitions such as divorce or loss of a job

Do you recognize something from this list? Maybe you do. Maybe you do not. The list is by no means exhaustive. Every individual faces particular challenges. Thrive Counseling's therapists and coaches have experienced great success watching thousands of individuals overcome their unique challenges. Whatever you are going through, you can experience relief, too. You can grow. You can thrive.

"We invite you to thrive in life!"

No Waiting Lists: Sessions within 24 Hours

"Some counselors think that having a waiting list is a sign of professional success. We see it as a sign of a poorly managed practice."

Thrive Counseling was established on the belief that everyone can benefit from a relationship with a skilled, qualified counselor or coach. We think that everyone has the potential to live a meaningful, fulfilling and balanced life - to thrive. However, Thrive Cambridge Counseling does not believe that thriving is something for the future. It has to start now - even today.

We are able to meet with our new clients as soon as possible; many first-time clients see their coach or counselor within 24 hours of their call to us. Your life is now. Do not wait until later to resolve your problems and achieve your goals.

From the first time clients walk into our office, we are set to the task of helping them develop a new sense of hope, direction, and purpose. Our goal is that clients leave each session with a better outlook on life than when they arrived.
